Taegro: the broad-spectrum biofungicide

A BRAND NEW BROAD-SPECTRUM BIOFUNGICIDE

Taegro can be used for the control of various foliar diseases in a range of protected crops, including aubergines, courgettes, peppers, strawberries and tomatoes. Additionally, Taegro can be used outdoors on – both table and wine varieties.

Taegro protects crops by producing metabolites that have disease suppressing qualities. It offers powerful broad-spectrum protection, enabling growers to save both time and money by reducing the number of products required to protect against a range of diseases including:

• Powdery mildew on Cucurbitaceae
• Downy mildew on lettuce
• Powdery mildew and early blight on Solanaceae
• Grey mould on strawberry
• Grey mould and powdery mildew on grapevine

Taegro has a benign environmental profile, is harmless to beneficial insects and pollinators, offers a low risk of developing resistance and is fit for organic programmes.

Dr Joshua BurnstoneFargro Technical Director says "We are delighted to add another highly effective and innovative plant protection tool to the growers’ toolkit. Taegro will help growers to address the challenges of stricter food chain requirements while optimising yields and improving quality. It’s easy to handle, can be stored at room temperature and can be applied at any growth stage, right up to one day before harvest.

Daniel Lightfoot of Syngenta adds "Fargro was our first choice of partner for Taegro due to its in-depth expertise and extensive experience of supporting the horticulture industry in the UK. This initiative will help to grow our relationship further and we look forward to continuing to work closely with Fargro on future developments."
