Product details
Designed for budding and grafting, Buddy Tape has unique properties that allow for rapid application, reduced labour costs, and increased success rates.
Self-adhesive: Only becomes self-adhesive when stretched. Allows a quick and easy application with no need for knots. The bud or graft is kept in place even in windy conditions.
Elastic: Can be stretched to up to 8 times its’ original length. The tape expands as the plant grows, preventing damage to the plant.
Waterproof: The film has a wax content to keep it waterproof, so the bud or graft will not dehydrate, but air can pass through the permeable tape allowing the bud to breathe.
Total bud cover: The tape is pierced by the bud as it begins to grow, and because the permeable nature of the material allows the bud to breath, the bud can be completely covered. This provides protection from infection and insects.
Biodegradable: Decomposes after 5-6 months naturally, eliminating the need to remove and dispose of old tape.
