Thripex Vermiculite 50,000 1L is a biological pest control containing 50,000 Neoseiulus cucumeris predatory mites for targeted control of thrips larvae.
Neoseiulus cucumeris, formerly known as Amblyseius cucumeris, actively searches the crop for and feeds on first and second instar thrips larvae, helping to suppress pest populations and reduce crop damage.
Thripex is particularly suited to the biological control of western flower thrips (Frankliniella occidentalis) and onion thrips (Thrips tabaci) in suitable crops.
This formulation is supplied in vermiculite as a 1 litre loose application, allowing the predatory mites to be distributed directly throughout the crop for rapid introduction and establishment.
Thripex Vermiculite can be incorporated into an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programme for biological management of thrips populations.
