| Tech Comments | The Garden Chafer lure needs to be used in combination with the Chafer traps. This lures when released is species-specific which lures the males of the garden chafer into the trap. Once in the trap they cannot escape and are easy to detect, count and identify. Trapping males also aids in reducing the number of eggs laid by females as they fail to mate. |

| Control | For control of Garden Chafer larvae using nematodes, Sportnem-H for larger areas and Larvanem for smaller areas can be used. It is important to catch the Chafer larvae at the right point of the lifecycle for the nematodes to provide an effective control. The application window for nematodes for control of the larval stages is from May to October.
