Fargro relocation update

We are pleased to announce that on 16th October the Development Control committee of Arun District Council voted in favour of our plans to relocate to the Vinery at Poling. We will now proceed with the detailed design and tendering processes and updates will be issued as appropriate.

Fargro Managing Director, Jim McAlpine said:

“We are delighted that the planning committee recognised the importance of Fargro to the local economy and the wider horticultural industry by unanimously approving our relocation plans.”
Fargro is the largest horticultural wholesale supplier in the South East and applied for permission to build a 6,400 m2 warehouse with offices and 5,337 m2 of dry storage area, on a site approximately one mile north east of the current site. The company stressed that remaining in the Littlehampton area is essential to retain the company’s fifty plus local employees and for the company to remain close to its customer base. Consultation meetings held with local residents living adjacent to the site and other stakeholders have helped formulate the plans. The design also provides improved road access to the Vinery industrial estate from the A27 and will reroute existing delivery vehicles which currently pass neighbouring residential properties.
