Switch - New Crops.

Switch is a fungicide containing a mixture of two active ingredients, cyprodinil and fludioxonil, both of which have different modes of action. Switch provides excellent control of Botrytis and has additional activity against a range of other diseases. Switch has long lasting protectant and systemic activity and the two active ingredients provide a built-in resistance management mechanism. Switch was first approved in the UK for 2007 with the initial approval allowing use on on a more limited range of crops.

Label approvals now cover uses on:
  • Vegetable crops:
    Fresh beans (green, runner, broad), dried beans (dwarf French bean, navy bean [phaseolus], kidney beans, haricot beans, dried broad beans), vining pea and edible podded pea, dried peas (combining peas including marrowfat),
  • Fruit Crops:
    Protected and outdoor strawberry, protected and outdoor raspberry and blackberry, outdoor crops of blueberry, bilberry, cranberry, redcurrant, blackcurrant, whitecurrant, gooseberry, top fruit (apple, pear, quince, crab apple)
  • Ornamentals:
    Ornamental plant production and forestry nursery.


The range of diseases listed on label now includes: Alternaria spp., Ascochyta, Botrytis (grey mould), Colletotrichum spp., Fusarium spp. Gloeosporium spp., Monilinia spp. Mycosphaerella, Nectria spp., Penicillium spp., Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Stemphylium vesicarium, Venturia spp..
