Fargro/Avoncrop Compost Tea Open Day held at the Avoncroft Museum, Bromsgrove, Worcs.

Fargro in conjunction with Avoncrop Limited held a Compost Tea information and discussion forum to review the work and results that both growers and technical support personnel had experienced since its introduction into the UK market. Both existing and potential users attended the Open Day.

Mark van Iersel (Managing Director) of Soiltech Solutions in Holland came to talk on Compost Tea and on the principles of using Compost Tea and benefits derived from its use in Europe, and talked about Compost Tea quality, research results, analysis, silicon incorporation, cell strength and root promotion.

Terry Horseman from Avoncrop chaired the meeting after an introduction by Mark Davies (Sales Director) Avoncrop.

A panel discussion followed with Mark van Iersel, David Hutchinson (ADAS), John Summers (Tref), chaired by Jim McAlpine, Sales & Marketing Director (Fargro). This gave the audience the opportunity of asking questions and sharing ideas on the use of Compost Tea.

A visit to Webbs of Wychbold was arranged for the afternoon session, and this gave everyone the chance of seeing Compost Tea being used and discussing with the Webb's team the benefits that can be gained from using it. A big thank you to Webb's for allowing us all to see their system in operation.

Over 60 people attended the meeting and it proved to be a very beneficial day for all parties involved with many ordering equipment to try out the system for themselves.
